The mod dolls that clone themselves

Edico had Missy Mod dolls in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Edico also had Mini Mod dolls and clothes in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Shillman had Mini Mod dolls and clothes.  These were later in the 1970s and 1980s, so I am assuming that Shillman bought out Edico.

Shillman had Maxi Mod dolls and clothes in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

A&H Doll Manufacturing had Marcie Mod in the late 1960s.

Maddie Mod was made by Princess Grace in the late 1960s, Mego in the early and mid-1970s and Summit Industries in the late 1970s.

I don't know who made Betsy Teen but these are the early 1970s Maddie Mod clothing boxes, but the clothes are different.

The dozens of accessories for these dolls were always the same.  No one has ever researched this, but I am assuming all these companies used the same manufacturing plant.
