We went to the wedding gown exhibit at the Cincinnati Art Museum. There are at least 30 dresses there, the oldest being from the mid-1700s to the newest, a Vera Wang gown from 2003. Yes, there is a Barbie doll there--it's the Badgley Mischka Bride Barbie from 2003. There's also a 19th-century china doll exhibited in a wedding dress--she looks like a Kestner.
There were three wild contemporary gowns there. One was--you guessed it--a Bob Mackie that looks like it was designed for the Qs in Star Trek. A second was a Goth gown with black feathered wings attached. The third wasn't a real dress--it was a gown made up of thousands of layered cream-colored latex gloves. Yes, you could SMELL the dress--from several feet away!
