Golden switches to boxes in the 1990s

At some point in the 1990s, Golden discontinued its paper dolls in folders and started placing the sets in flat boxes.  I call the set dated 1993, #5559, the Teen Talk Barbie paper dolls.  Although unnamed, that is the doll depicted on front.

The doll is a photograph while the clothes are drawn.  This doll is made of heavy cardboard a millimeter thick and is 12 inches tall.  This new style of doll also can be a mannequin for actual Barbie outfits.

Her clothes are the original outfits for Teen Talk and Hollywood Hair, plus separate ones for Sparkle Pretty, Sun Sensation and others, from 1992 and 1993.

The Teen Talk Barbie paper doll is
about 3 inches taller than the earlier Golden paper dolls.

There are wigs included with this set
to correspond with Hollywood Hair Barbie.

This taller, heavier paper doll
can be a mannequin for your actual doll clothes.

If the outfit is loose-fitting and can fit over Barbie's head, the paper doll can model it.  This is a polyester satin nightgown from 1993.

I've not been able to identify Barbie's underwear,
the gown with the long print skirt or the print sundress.
